A lovely high-grade Longines 9LT watch.  Longines was then in its heyday, producing outstandingly well-engineered timepieces. Longines made quite a reputation for itself in the 1920's with a successful niche in the U.S. market. It was the chosen timepiece of many aviators such as Charles Lindbergh and Wiley Post. Longines was founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier Switzerland by Auguste Agassiz. It's logo is the oldest unchanged active trademark registered.
