This is a very high grade, yellow-gold filled sterling silver, stepped case, hand-wound 15 Jewel Elgin De Luxe watch. The Elgin Watch Company made watches in Elgin, Illinois from 1864 to 1968. The Observatory of Elgin National Watch Company was the only watch company in the world that maintained its own observatory to time it's watches by the accuracy of the stars.
